Night Muni

Little rosebury

Muni is fun... and lack of sun adds a whole new edge to it.  The result is lots of laughter.

On Monday evening a hardy bunch of riders from JUST went for a ride up on the North Yorkshire moors for a Muni ride in the dark.

Night riding

Even though it was a relatively clear night, it was way too dark to ride without lights when in the woods, even on the moor tops it was a challenge to work out what was a hole and what was a stone.  To say nothing of working what was soft mud and what was sold ground.  So lots of UPD's

The picture shows only some of the batch needing work on them, luckily we have Cameron Peacock in to help us, even so this is going to be a long slow job.

The winner was Aaron Moran who amazingly rode 301km! David Knowles came second with 245km and Ross Atkins came 3rd with 223km. A special mention to Susan Boe for riding 161km and was the first lady. b13               a16They were raising money for St Teresa's hospice for a unicyclist from their club who sadly lost his life to cancer. They have raised over £1000 so far and this figure is growing every day! I think you will all agree that it was a massive accomplishment and well done to everyone who took part. Great to see so many riders in one place. Everyone came together and the atmosphere was incredible.

Cameron, Dan and Elliott go riding

Cameron Peacock, Dan Kent and Elliott Bateman were in Stockton for a day's riding to get some photos and to do some filming which lead to a lot of random and painful times. Falling of unis, landing new stuff and unicycle maintenance! Thanks to Jessica Dunn for doing photography.
